🧊 Cleaning & Self-Care for Your GSEICE Slushy Maker

Keeping your slushy maker clean improves freezing speed, drink texture, and the lifespan of the machine. Use this guide for daily quick clean, weekly deep clean, and fixing odor or sticky residue.

1. After-every-use quick clean (2–3 min)

Use this when you only made 1–2 batches and ingredients were not oily.

  1. Empty the tank and pour out remaining drink.
  2. Rinse with warm (not boiling) water, filling about 1/3 of the tank.
  3. Run the machine briefly so water reaches the walls and moving parts.
  4. Drain and wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
  5. Leave the lid open to air-dry.

Tip: this prevents sugar build-up β€” the most common cause of sticky parts and slower freezing.

2. Weekly deep clean (for dairy / alcohol / heavy use)

  1. Unplug the machine first.
  2. Remove the parts that are meant to be taken off (lid, paddle/agitator, seal ring if applicable).
  3. Wash removable parts in warm water with mild dish soap. No harsh chemicals, no steel wool.
  4. Use a soft sponge to wipe the inside walls and corners of the tank.
  5. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap residue.
  6. Dry completely before re-assembling to avoid mildew around seals.

3. Odor or sticky build-up fix

If you notice slower freezing, a sweet/sticky ring on the wall, or light smell:

  1. Mix warm water with a few drops of dish soap, or use a little food-safe baking soda.
  2. Fill about 1/3 of the tank and run stir/mix mode for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to loosen the sugar film.
  4. Drain, rinse, and air-dry with the lid open.

For strong-smelling ingredients (coffee, citrus, alcohol), air-drying with the lid open is important.

4. What not to do

  • Do not pour boiling water into the tank (thermal shock can damage cooling parts).
  • Do not use abrasive scrubbers or powders β€” they scratch food-contact surfaces.
  • Do not store the machine wet with the lid closed β€” that’s how odor starts.
  • Do not run a cleaning cycle with undiluted vinegar or strong chemicals unless specified.

5. Storage & self-care tips

  • After cleaning, keep the lid slightly open and let the inside dry.
  • Wipe the outer cooling/air vents so airflow is not blocked.
  • Use the machine on a level, ventilated surface for best cooling performance.
  • If you moved the machine from a cold place to a warm room, let it rest a few minutes before starting.

6. When to contact us

Please reach out if you notice any of the following even after cleaning:

  • Freezing time becomes much longer than your usual 15–45 minutes range.
  • Unusual grinding sounds from the mixing parts.
  • Leakage around the lid or spout even when assembled correctly.

Keep it clean, keep it fast.
